About Me

From the very beginning of my career, one thing has always been clear:
people don’t come to me when life is easy.

They come in the middle of change — sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes hopeful — but always at a moment that matters.
And for over 17 years, I’ve made it my life's work to meet them there.

I began my journey in social work and child & youth services, working alongside families facing incredible challenges — from poverty and trauma to mental health struggles and family breakdown.

Not as a distant professional behind a desk, but as someone willing to sit beside them, hear their story, and find a way forward together.

Over time, my work grew:
I supported young people rebuilding after adversity.
I guided parents trying to find new ground for their children after separation.
I helped job seekers reimagine their futures after loss, illness, or unexpected life challenges

I sat on the playroom rug or the elderly person's bedside to provide compassionate support for all ages, abilities, and stages in life - from birth to death

I stood with caregivers, grandparents, newcomers, and survivors — all trying to navigate a system that often wasn’t built with them in mind.

No matter the setting — whether it was a mediation table, a counseling office, a testimony at the Canadian Senate, a career planning session, or a home visit — one thing remained true:

People don't need perfection. They need someone who will meet them with honesty, compassion, and the belief that change is possible.

Today, as Family Mediator, Social Work Professional, Child and Youth Practitioner, and Career Development Specialist, I bring all those chapters of my career together.

I don't believe in single-label solutions.
Families, individuals, and communities are complex — and so are the journeys they take.

My work has always been about more than just solving problems.
It’s about helping people reclaim stability, dignity, and hopewhether that’s in rebuilding a co-parenting relationship, crafting a new career path, or creating space for healing after hardship.

Born and raised in Northern Ontario, I carry the resilience, resourcefulness, and heart of my community into everything I do.
I know what it means to face challenges with limited resources and limitless spirit.
And I know that real solutions come from listening deeply, working collaboratively, and honoring each person’s unique story.

This isn’t just my career. It’s my calling.

Because every person deserves to feel seen.
Every family deserves the chance to write a new chapter.
And every story — no matter how complicated — deserves to be met with respect, compassion, and care.
