Bridging Differences, Creating Solutions

At BridgePoint Mediation, I help families work through difficult decisions and find practical solutions that fit their lives.

My roots are in Northern Ontario, and Northern resilience is at the core of how I approach this work. I understand communities where people are resourceful, relationships matter, services may be limited, and families often find ways forward through difficult circumstances.

With over 17 years of experience in social work and child & youth care, I bring that same practical, resilient approach to mediation. I understand that separation doesn't happen in isolation. Parenting, finances, work, distance, health, culture, family history and access to services can all affect what is realistic.

Child- and Family-Focused

Children's needs and well-being are central to parenting discussions. I help parents consider arrangements that reflect their children's individual needs and their family's actual circumstances.

Trauma-Informed

Conflict, separation, grief and family history can affect how people communicate and make decisions. I structure mediation so each participant has an opportunity to participate meaningfully.

Practical and Real-World

We address what families are actually dealing with—parenting schedules, communication, distance, finances, property, support and changing circumstances. The goal isn't a perfect solution on paper. It's a workable one for the people who have to live it.

Clear and Legally Informed

I provide relevant legal information in plain language and help participants identify the information they need to make informed decisions. When decisions are reached, I document them clearly in a Memorandum of Understanding for participants to review and obtain independent legal advice.

Accessible and Inclusive

BridgePoint welcomes diverse families and works to accommodate disability, neurodivergence, communication differences, cultural considerations and other individual needs.

Here When Things Change

Families change. Children grow. Work schedules change. People move. Financial circumstances shift. BridgePoint remains available when participants want to return to mediation to revisit previous decisions.

Northern Ontario taught me that resilience isn't about things being easy. It's about finding a workable way forward when they aren't.

Most importantly:
I believe families and individuals don’t just need “agreements.”
They need solutions that offer stability, dignity, and the chance to turn the page toward something healthier - their way

That’s the work I do every day.
That’s BridgePoint Mediation.
